TTA Rapid

TTA Rapid is a modern approach to treating a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament

The procedure involves the insertion of a titanium cage that changes the plane of the articular surface of the tibia so that the knee joint functions properly. In contrast to extracorporeal methods (lateral suture) this method works well even in very large, active dogs (the weight and temperament of the patient does not create therapeutic limitations).

The effect achieved by this method is similar to that of TPLO surgery. However, it has several advantages…

TTA RAPID is one of the most effective and state-of-the-art surgical methods for this condition. By using a titanium implant, which is special to this method, very good results are achieved. The recovery time is very short. The material and method of placing the implant eliminates many of the disadvantages of other methods. The implant does not have to be removed once it has healed (avoiding a second surgery) because both the special ankle and the screws that fix it are made of a biocompatible material (titanium alloy), i.e. causing a minimal reaction from the body (and even being treated as one’s own).

At the KUROSZ Clinic, the procedure is performed by a certified specialist in veterinary surgery with many years of experience – Dr. Katarzyna Wach, who has completed specialised training in the TTA Rapid method by the method’s creator Dr. Yves Samoy, confirmed by the relevant certificate.
